Campground Description

The Hunting Club is a laid back casual campground.  Clothing optional in most of the campground.  We have an 11 acre pond with fishing, paddleboat and kayaks.  We have an above ground pool next to the clubhouse and soon to have a hot tub.  Big Rig access is limited to just a few sites, but we have several smaller sites available also.  Tenting area is huge and can accomodate many tents or tent trailers.

The Hunting Club is an old hunting club that has been turned into a gay campground.  It is open by membership only.  Currently memberships are $10 per year.  Daily use fees are starting a $2 per day but will be adjusted up as ammenities and attendance improves.

Our campground is only about 6 months old but have great hopes of growning.  We have 100 acres on which to expand.  Our campground is in the woods and off the beaten path.  You do have to drive a dirt road for 1 and 1/2 miles.  We have full timer sites that are great for year around use or for the snowbirds from the north.  We have a campfire 3 times a month when weather permits.  We have 20 30 & 50 Amp electric at each site with water and sewer.  We have 2 sites with water and electric.  Have a self serve laundry with a bathroom and shower.  An outdoor shower, and a full bathroom in the clubhouse.

Our pond has bass and sunfish for catching.  The pond is also stocked with Koy that are very pretty to watch.  There are 3 geese on the pond as well.  We have a paddleboat you can use as well as 3 kayaks that are available for use.

Please note our driving directions on the web site.  If you are using a gps it will take you right to our front door, but if you are pulling a unit or driving one you do not want to turn on Furguson Rd.  Please follow the directions on the first page of our website.  You can call 912-293-3832 for help with questions or directions.  We are 7 miles from Vidalia, GA the home of the famous sweet onions.

Most smaller, friendly dogs are welcome on a leash.  Insurance has required that we don't take several of the larger breeds like pit bulls, german shepards, boxers and several others.  Please call if you have a large pet.  Any pet with a history of aggression is not welcome.
